Rock Hands:
Gerald's Gift and Curse
(The Beginning) (Volume 1)

Gerald's Gift and Curse
1 ✰✰✰✰✰ Review
"Rock Hands" is a powerfully moving piece of a man's journey set in the late depression era American, where Gerald Williams competes in the rough and tumble world of illegally staged bare-knuckle fighting. Success in the ring has bought Gerald wealth, pain, and two sisters fighting for his love. All set against the backdrop of a small town forced into hosting the bare-knuckle "Fight of the Century". Gene Thomas has done it again! With an epic tale spanning generations, he has taken us on an amazing journey. The characters in Rock Hands will pull you into their world and make you want to stay. A novel full of life, love and family that will keep you turning the pages way into the night. A fight for survival, literally and figuratively, Rock Hands will be one of the best novels you read this year. I highly recommend this novel! You will not be disappointed! Review by Jason Sinner 5 stars all the way! Read More

Rock Hands' Sons
The Sons fight a legend...
(Volume 2)

A legacy to be filled - By Some
1 ✰✰✰✰✰ Review
It's been three and a half years since Gerald Williams fought and defeated Curl Burleson in a memorable fight that people still talked about in the small community of Helton where the fight was held.

It didn't matter that the man known as 'Rock Hands' hadn't fought since the fabled 'fight of the Century'. He was constantly getting inquiries from seedy fight promoters and young, up and coming street fighters looking to make a name for themselves.

While he knew he would fight again, Gerald had long ago decided to take his time getting back. He and Amanda were enjoying married life especially with newborn twins. But his step son Ethan was itching to take up Gerald's mantle, and he wasn't the only one. Others in Helton fancied themselves as Gerald's equal. One of them in particular would prove to be a major threat to Gerald's family, a family Gerald would soon find out had grown quite a bit since his personal odyssey began. Read More

Delving even furthur into an already amazing world, Gene manages to bring even more depth and emotions to the families we've grown to love. Very few authors can write characters so alive and full, characters that the reader will feel they know personally. Powerful writing indeed! You won't be able to put this one down until the end!

The Olive Tree series

Sitting on the Branch of an Olive Tree
1 ✰✰✰✰✰ Review
Gene Thomas has created an epic story of rising from humble beginnings to achieving the dreams that with proper actions and hard work can be accomplished. A tale of working class merged with high society and the secrets that are held in both. With mystery, intrigue, and at times seduction, the reader takes a journey through the lives of characters that touch the part of the spirit where the realness in all resides. The story shows that despite what people think at times, we are all the same deep down inside. Read More

Is a collection of short stories about young boys childhood days in the early sixties. New York back then was not all steel and glass. There were trees and woods and even - swamps and tree houses. Boys got into more trouble than their parents ever knew about, but then it was minor stuff easily forgotten when everyone went in for the night.

But there are also family stories of heroes and old men long forgotten by anyone outside of the family, remembered here...in the Tales from the Tree House. Read More
